有位在新西兰的同学信教，和我分享了以下的段落，觉得不错。
＃你被人请去赴婚姻的筵席，不要坐在首位上，因为恐怕有比你尊贵的客被他请来。
When you are bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than you be bidden of him;
＃ 那请你们的人前来对你说：“让座给这一位吧！”你就羞羞惭惭地退到末位上去了。
And he that bade you and him come and say to you“Give this man place”; and you begin with shame to take the lowest room.
＃你被请去的时候，就（直接）去坐在末位上，好叫那请你的人来对你说：“朋友，请上坐。"那时，你在同席的人面前就有光彩了。
But when you are bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that he may say to you, “Friend, go up higher”, then shalt you have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with you.
＃因为，凡自高的，必降为卑；自卑的，必升为高。
For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
当然，现代的婚礼宴席，座位早被主人按亲疏远近安排好了，不大存在自己找位置的情况。
